Player Statue for Most bugs Found?

Steven has suggested that they will reward players for coming forward and reporting bugs and exploits which I think is awesome. What would you guys think if you could earn a in game statue with your contribution to the game?

Like most things, this could easily be 'funneled to one person'.

I don't think that's a bad thing necessarily, it just would lead to a type of behaviour that I am not sure would be great for the Devs.

Manipulations of certain types, though mostly innocent, can lead to some weird situations and reduce the optimal form of development.

A recent example is that in Alpha-1, I usually found the bugs, but within my group, I generally didn't report them first or in the succinct way, I funneled those bugs to the team members I intended to be most likely to receive invites for later spot tests.

But it was a risk because each of those team members only tends to notice half of the 'common bug types/interactions'. If they didn't both get into the tests to work together, then any benefit to Intrepid would be reduced (it was worth it for other reasons, but this is just an example).

I'll say that I wouldn't expect A2 to be the only testing Intrepid is doing, so I wouldn't want a guild/streamer/whatever to have any situation where the incentive is to 'make sure a particular person gets a statue or reward ingame for bug reporting', as it might lead to similar things.

    Hope that made sense.

Yes, but I think it needs to be placed somewhere that you would need to be bugged to see it; maybe under a mountain when you fall through the ground.

I don't think any bug hunting incentive should be given beyond making the game better, but I certainly wouldn't mind rewards. Just announce them after the fact to avoid people gaming the system.

a stack of temporary flying mounts

statues are boring and lore is boring, they just stand there for no reason
PvE means: A handful of coins and a bag of boredom.

I don't know about a statue, but it would be really cool to show up in random lore, or referenced in a quest after the game goes to full release if a tester helps to solve something related to that area
