Glorious Alpha Two Testers!

Alpha Two Realms are now unlocked for Phase II testing!

For our initial launch, testing will begin on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 10 AM Pacific and continue uninterrupted until Monday, January 6, 2025, at 10 AM Pacific. After January 6th, we’ll transition to a schedule of five-day-per-week access for the remainder of Phase II.

Mud Shield

I've got an idea. It's the "Mud Shield" or "Swamp Shield", basically a shield that looks like a flat rock dripping with mud, genius right? Here's the best part, when an opponent's weapon makes contact with the shield, the opponent gets hit with a "slow" debuff for like 3 seconds. I saw this in the manhwa "Overgeared" (Ch. 82), I was thinking it would be cool to see in AoC lol.

Plus, it ties nicely into the idea of incorporating environmental elements into combat, which could be a great way to expand on the game’s immersion and tactical depth.

    It would be fascinating to see how something like this could be balanced and integrated into the existing class and combat systems of AoC. Perhaps different types of shields could have unique debuffs, adding another layer of strategy when choosing gear.

    I could see this being an augment for a Tank primary that select a Mage secondary.

    As an item this is bad, as an augment it is fine. I see it fitting best with Ranger, Tank and Mage, any of their combinations.

    I like the idea but would prefer to see this as part of an augmented skill for tanks. Tank/Tank could have augmented abilities that punish players for attacking them. Like by drenching your shield in mud that lasts X amount of time!
