Heaven's Arena In Ashes Of Creation.

I would love to see a system like Heaven's Arena from Hunter x Hunter in this game. It's such a cool concept! In the anime, fighters battle their way up the floors of a massive tower, and the higher you go, the tougher it gets. Once you're past the 200th floor, it's not about money anymore—it's all about fame and glory. You can fight whenever you're ready, but you've got 90 days to prepare for each match if you need it. The top 21 fighters, known as Floor Masters, each have their own floor from the 230th to 250th, and they’re the best of the best. If you win 10 matches, you earn the right to challenge one of them. Every two years, the Battle Olympia happens on the 251st floor, and the winner gets to live in a luxury penthouse at the top of the arena!
Imagine a PvP system like this in the game, where you fight to climb the ranks and prove your skill. It would be a real test of strength and honor, pushing you to the top in intense battles!
Ofc tweak it to prevent issues. What do you guys think?

Instanced PvP is an avenue to change in the game world, and the sort that isn't (arenas) so far haven't been described as something you can make a full gameplay cycle of. I'd prefer to keep it that way.
“How about we fight in a tower for 200 levels?”
@Chronoa
Regarding the idea though, how do you envision this being much different functionally than a tradtional arena system, where you have to overcome a tournament bracket to become the best, and defend that title against new challengers?
The systems you laid out are very much cartoon show. They wouldn't function with actual people in an MMO
It wasnt my thread so I cant speak on the specific idea in question, but I can speak on the general concept and its role within the context of Ashes design.
Not everything in Ashes will be both pve and pvp content combined. It will have some pvp focused content, some pve focused, and some combined pvp and pve content. These can coexist without negatively affecting each other if smartly designed. People don't have to gatekeep pvpers because they are only interested in the pvx content.
Obviously Carphin is pvx/pve, thats why I said the "concept" of a challenge tower, because we already know there will be pvp focused content, pve focused content, and combined pvx focused content, so there is no reason that a "challenge tower" theme couldnt apply to any of those content types, seeing as how Carphin is already in the game representing the pvx/pve form.
I'm sure they'll have plenty of interesting content for PvP, given the overall theme of the game's core-design, though.
That said, Heaven's Arena is moreso a 'ladder' system, which is always either difficult to implement in an MMO, or 'not really a ladder in the first place'.
I'd say that most of the emotional responses I would care about in the case of this type of content can be achieved in the simpler ways used by current MMORPGs.
