Mend Change

After listening to today's livestream something was mentioned about the types of feedback that are most beneficial to the development team being about the experience of the player, I am aware I have yet to play the game but in researching and looking at cleric I feel this is the experience I was looking forward to...
For some context into this thread I will post the change of Mend this thread is based on--
I had mentioned to Plannindorf a couple months ago on a stream that I felt Mend was pretty strong for a skill. And truly I felt it was super strong even without having experienced it in game, however, I felt it added so much interest to the cleric. I believe the reason for the change was due to bards being introduced and clerics no longer needing the ability to manage their own mana as much.
One thing I have heard from others in the community is that healing doesn't seem to be interesting or fun. Mend had such a fun juggling mechanic to interweave mend within your other style of heals to help manage your mana. It would incentivize clerics to not just stick with certain heals. The old mend would encourage clerics to maintain both stacks of mend to keep it free and return mana per mend, but also they would have to manage on how many of their 5 charges they had up at a time in order to ensure they can continue the stacks.
I thought this skill would be something that all clerics would be able to utilize but the top end clerics would manage their charges/stacks in such a way they could raise the ceiling of the class.
I understand that with bard being introduced the need for the cleric to self manage mana isn't as needed, however, I think this should be reintroduced to add interest to cleric healing. Even if the effect is nerfed for balance this is fine, but at least have the option for clerics to challenge their own rotation instead of simply relying on a bard to mana battery.
