Thoughts on AoE’s

1. In PvP which AoE’s should be “telegraphed” to enemies?
None. It should just have a cast time. They should all get hit at the same time and be bewildered Zander have to figure out where that came from while looking at one another’s health bars.

3. How clear should AoE’s be to other players?
They should know when they get hit.

4. Should that be different in PvE?
No.

4. Examples of AoE’s you like.
NCSoft’s Aion Spiritmaster’s Sandblaster which Deals 90...110 magical earth damage to a target within 25m and all enemies within 15m of the target, and inflicts an additional 78...96
damage every 3s for 30s.
AND
Spiritmaster’s Blade of Earth which Decreases the movement speed of a target within 25m of you and all enemies within 15m of the target for 10s~12s.
AND
Spiritmaster’s Cursecloud which Inflicts 754 magical earth damage to a target within 25m and all enemies within a 25m radius of the target, and inflicts an additional 656 damage every 6s for 54s. In addition, whenever the target uses a magical attack on you, it suffers damage equal to 5% of its maximum HP.
AND
Spiritmaster’s Fear Shriek which Transforms enemies within a 15m radius of you into Fire Spirits for 13s~18s, and the target becomes afraid and its movement speed is reduced.

Comments: These SM skills were so fun to play with. You had to gauge and take risks of hitting other things. You had to be careful when you used them which made me feel like I had a special power that could make or break an encounter with other players in arena PvP. It definitely helped.
