Crafting: Solo Class, Specialization or Everyone will roll?

So, about crafting...will be a way to play, or something that everyone will roll?

Will be a Class (stand alone or everyone can pick, but is like any class to lvl - FFXIV feelings) or a Profession? (yeah, pick any two and smile, who cares?)

    From what I know it's either going to be a profession thing where you can use some X number at a time, or be able to do any at any time with restrictions being based on level.

    Though I could be totally wrong, this is my initial guess. I severely doubt it will be a class / class locked at all.
