Adventuring Through Verra's World – Opinions!

I’ve been thinking sometimes about how I want to play AOC. One day, I thought about playing the game in a very free-spirited way: traveling between cities, staying in one place for a few days or weeks, and then moving on, discovering new places, people, content, etc.
In AOC, this seems to be one of the harder ways to play because you can’t regularly play with friends. Most guilds won’t accept a temporary member, being a mercenary doesn’t seem simple, and making money seems quite difficult too. But this approach has opened up new perspectives for me, and AOC gives me the feeling that it’s possible to embark on a great adventure, with challenges, unexpected friendships, and unique rewards. You could play in such a way that no one else will have the same experience.
Imagine running through the unknown, playing a game without knowing the outcome—whether you’ll survive the content or the region. Think about how many months, maybe even years, this journey could last, bringing joy along the way.
Your life in the game wouldn’t be completely systematic, like some players who need to grind on Monday, buy everything they need on Tuesday, and raid on Wednesday, then grind again, sell some stuff, prepare for a siege, and so on. I feel like when we play with guilds, we have to follow certain rituals (or schedules), making the game feel more like a theme park. But without those roots, a player could do things differently.
It’s hard to say whether this is good or bad, but I’ve been reflecting on it in my free time. I’m still not sure if I have the courage to try such an adventure. So, what about you? Would you have the courage (or the desire) to do something like that?
