Attunement stone and class utility skill potential

So watching some livestream since verbal nda got lifted it seems you have attunment stone around the map seems to be at nodes which u basicly set your respawn point too incase you die, which is very reminincent of everquest1 soul binder NPC where u would bind urself to respawn at that NPC
Now Everquest also has a spell that most spell caster got called bind affinity if i remember correctly which allowed the players to also act as that role and could bind themself or party member to set new respawn location which i feel might work well as a utility spell for probaly summoner class (basicly alowed them to summon the soul back to x location when dieing) should be a pop up check box though when targetting party members though to reduce potential of trolling but i think it would work well from what ive heard for AoC to have something similiar.
i would put a cooldown on this respawn mechanic personaly well in regard to PvP so you only get 2 rezz at that location say 1 every 15-30 minutes if u die twice within that time u gotta go back to the attunment stone otherwise i think it would pretty nice to have player chosen respawn location at times like this especialy with the world being so large.

  • This is a terrible idea, it would completly obsolte Cleric revive, allow all kinds of intant travel abuse etc.
Think before you post next time plz.
