October 25 vs November 8 Alpha 1 Start - Is this ok?

I have rarely said anything negative about the way Intrepid has handled development of this game because I think they've done an amazing job on whole. Something has been bothering me though and I think I have identified clearly what it is now. I have no problem with people who invested in the game before I did getting to test on October 25th. It was very clear that when I bought Alpha 2 wave 1 that I would not have access until November 8th.
Up until this point there is zero issue. Where I do have a big problem is that there are people who have won a contest with approximately zero skin in the game, meaning they've purchased nothing and will be able to test the game on October 25th before people who actually paid money for Alpha 2 access, a two week lead time that feels like an eternity to anybody that's been following this game for a long time.
Let me offer this caveat to my complaint, I recognize the full possibility that Intrepid may allow early access to those of us who bought Alpha 2 wave one with the expectation of a November 8th entry.
I offer this complaint with all sincerity and love for what Intrepid is doing with this amazing game.

If you care that a few dozen people "won over you" by drawing a lucky gacha - that's a real shame.

Giveaway also usually required to be prepared to participate and/or do something, even outside of the luck factor.

I dunno about this latest giveaway, so maybe that one was pure luck and still gave people 25th access. And if you're talking purely about that giveaway - yeah, I agree, it should've given the 8th access instead.

Yes, it's okay. You'll make it the two weekends of people waiting in queues and crashing until you can wait in queues and crash yourself

I’m not sure the number of people that won and good on them for winning my simple point is they should not be put in line in front of people that paid so yes November 8 would’ve been a better choice for that.

Everyone who has paid anything has way more stuff than someone who only has the key. Hell, the fucking $100 bois now have both betas in their bundle.

I'm a key winner who also bought Beta2 bundle. But I can't upgrade to get Beta1 for just $25 and would instead need to pay the full $75, while people who paid slightly more than me way later than me now have more than me.

Imo key winners having access on the 25th is more than fair, because not only are there barely a few hundred of those winners (if that), but they also have nothing else going for them.

    😂 😅 🤣 😅 😂

This would be the ultimate Slap into the Face for those who can start Overmorrow. But hey -> if that is how it goes, than that is how it goes. Nothing we can do against it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You are lucky they released more keys for people to get into a2. All the new ones should have been wave 3 but money is money.

The testing is server stress. The gap is how many they need to do so and Nov 8th is when they need more for more stress testing. Phase one is not about playing its about trying to crash the server.

This doesn't bother me whatsoever. These are a small number of people that got very lucky, how does that impact YOU at all?

'Two weeks' is a bit of a disingenuous way to describe six days, half+ of which will be spent in queues and crashing lol

Chances are the servers will wipe for the 8th anyway
