No oceanic server?

I understand its only alpha 2, and they have said we may see an oceanic server closer to launch (2026/2027/2030?), but I feel like its a big RIP not to provide us a realm down here to do testing on also.
We all know its going to be a mess when servers open up on the 25th of Oct, and even more so on the 8th of Nov... we now have to fight the whole NA or EU region to test a game we paid to test. I didn't pay to sit in a queue. How can you even test a game when you are automatically going to feel the jankiness of high ping?

Just a thought, I know most wont agree and there will be hate.. but its just a thought from an Australian, a country constantly being left in the cold with these types of things.. we may not have a lot of gamers compared to a country like the USA, but we do have them. and we like to play too.

The long and short is that they don't currently have the resources to support a server based in Australia. Maybe when it launches and grows as a company significantly, but for the testing phases I'd wager it's a pipe dream.

Hey, at least Steven has said there will be a OCE server for launch. Most games that is a complete afterthought.
They still have to watch monthly costs since they aren't getting subscription money yet. And he said the Alpha 2 will be a year at least.
Hopefully they will add a server for phase 3 for the persistent testing.

It has been stated before that servers will not be globally present as the project progressively goes live.
The answer is probably >>> HERE <<<
