The game is clearly rough, but that’s not a surprise since it’s an alpha and more of a server test for now. As a long-term support player, I decided to go with the bard, and I immediately fell in love with it. It’s fun and feels good.
I just managed to reach level 3 today by killing some goblins and wolf/ravens, so nothing too fancy. Overall, I am positively optimistic for the coming weeks.
However, having auto-attack on Q doesn’t feel right for me. After spending 10 minutes trying to find an auto-attack icon to put on the hotbar, I decided to change my keybinds (I had to set them up anyway). I use a MOBA mouse with seven keys, so I set auto-attack on “`”, left 1-4 on the keyboard, mapped 5-0 to the mouse, and added QE at the end of the hotbar. For Hotbar 2, I used the same setup with Shift.
Recommendation: Leave Q as it is, but allow auto-attack to be placed on the hotbar for those who want it (and if the option exists, make it easier to find).)
The UI editor is a bit janky but already okay. However, it doesn’t allow me to move inactive parts, it seems.
Technical Front: The performance feels fine, and that is all I can say. An implemented performance graph or FPS display would be helpful to be more accurate on that front, but there are third-party tools for those who really want to know.
Gameplay: The gameplay is good and shows potential. Combat and movement already feel good for an alpha. The player-to-monster density in the starting areas is likely only an alpha problem since there is only one starting zone.
Overall, aside from some needed quality-of-life additions, I would say it’s a good alpha status game (for some companies this would count as Beta

), and I am excited to play more in the coming days and weeks and give feedback whenever I find something.
