DirectX 12 bug (Can't launch game)

I keep getting this error: "DirectX 12 is required to run this application. Please ensure your OS and graphics card support DirectX 12 and try again."

Note, I have direct X 12, and my drivers all say they support it, I have the most recent updates from windows, and all the drivers say they have the best update.

If you are receiving this message, it is possibly due to your system not having DirectX Agility installed. DirectX Agility is not something that's only available in the latest Windows 10 version or only Windows 11, it's available in a variety of versions given you have required revision or higher. For some reason it can escape being installed through Windows update at times.

The easiest way to check if you have DirectX Agility is if you have the file C:\Windows\system32\D3D12Core.dll . If you have this file, lacking Agility is not your problem and I apologize for wasting your time. If you do not have this file, you must install DirectX Agility.

also the windows version could matter more then expected

Installing Windows 11 with a full driver package helped me solve this problem

Did you not have Windows 11 prior? Checked and my drivers are all up-to-date.

So the question is now: Is Ashes testing worth the migrate to Win11, or wait for final that should work with my Win10...... i hate these kind of choices

ye so win 11 migration is no guarantee to get this working.

Disappointed to see that this is not on their known issue list. Perhaps it's because we are such a small population or perhaps it's because of a bunch of replies to the conversation with solutions to different issues muddling the conversation. This is likely so low priority for them that the ticket either doesn't exist or is forgotten.

Very low priority. Sucks for those of us who bought Phase 1, but it is what it is I guess

I checked my directX on the new install and it's different, i guess since DX cannot be removed once you have the latest, a new install means really: the correct DX version.
i haven't updated DX yet, scared to.
I'm sure they will fix it soon, but maybe try (physically) disconnect boot drive and install some other version it will take a few minutes to install. LTSC latest seems to work for many ppl. If it doesn't work, just reconnect your old drive to revert.

Greetings everyone, I have the directx12 issue for two days and after reinstalling windows, making sure directx12 works and software updates for everything, I came to the conclusion that it simply wont't work with integrated laptop gpu. Like the minimum requirements says that no integrated gpu will work, so yeaaahhh. Didn't saw that at the time I bought the game. Fortunately I can try if it works on my pc in 2 weeks. Please wish me good luck.

I too have this error occur and the only explanation is the Devs have coded such that Integrated GPUs do not work at all (laptops). I have however the same Win11 version on both my laptop and PC, where for the PC I have just installed a GTX 1080 which seems to allow the game to run fine. I find it strange that they are not allowing laptop users with I-GPUs to run the game. I have no doubt the modern I-GPUs will run the current version (albeit lowish frames). Any other fixes out there?

Same problem for the game marvel rivals. Maybe a new standard with the required minimum gtx 1080.
