Character creation

Character creation is as far as I got in alpha two so far and noticed a bug. Some of the options are invisible and we are unable to rotate the character.

Also, placing the tattoos and moving them around is alright but when the tattoo overlaps the different body parts the tattoo only shows up on the main body part you are placing it on. IE you can't have the tattoo crawl up the neck while placing it on the chest. Also, after some time trying to place a tattoo while zoomed in on the chest, the camera kept resetting to focus on the face which pulled the tattoo with, restarting my attempt at placing the tattoo.

I've mainly only been in the character creator, as entering the world, I my game times out and closes every 10 minutes or so. I'm back after dinner, and the queue seems to be working properly (sort of; I'm 100th in line, last I checked, but it's been ages) so in the meantime, I've got my notes to share. of what I've tried.

About the character creator, there's been a handful of bugs and hiccups from my experience. Lots of icons do not show anything, while some others only show hair. I can't help but feel like the sliders and morph boundary/ranges for Vek faces, namely parts like the nose, were not set with shape of Vek noses in mind. The bounds by which vek faces are shaped feel are unorthodox to say the least, if anything. Above all, the Tattoo application feature is far rougher than anything else implemented. Character saves, as the function currently stands, are halfway to useless in the way they're implemented as well. Hopefully this list, written out in this way, helps illustrate what I mean in a clear way.

    1. Nose Morphs for Veks:
•Morphs do not accommodate non-standard Vek noses, leading to distortion and bulges in confusing areas.

    2. Tattoo/Markings Adjustments:
Tattoos and markings behave erratically, causing:
    • Rotating markings to be broken, forcing the use of sliders for adjustments.
    • Tattoos cut off near the neck on the chest.
    • Tattoos bleeding into undergarments if oversized.
    • Unwanted teleporting or snapping of tattoos to new locations when adjusting other tattoos.
    • Random jittering and shape changes on the body and face when adjusting tattoos on the body
•The max tattoo size varies by body area. Moving a tattoo from the face to the body restricts its size to face boundaries.

    3. Camera and Interface Bugs:
•The camera resets to the default position if adjusted during tattoo placements, disrupting precision work.
•The left window occasionally fails to update properly with new tattoos, or removal of tattoos

    4. Saving and Loading Issues:
•Saved character designs to not save hair, tattoos, scars, gender selection, and other customizations.
•Archetype is saved in all character design saves. Recording this data in character design feels extraneous and .
(EG: When creating a bard, if the player loads a save file containing a character design made during the creation of a warrior, the bard's class is automatically switched to warrior. The user must verify the character’s class via the icon or gear. If they overlook this, they must re-select the bard class or, in the worst case, delete and recreate the character from scratch. This requires them to repeat the process, carefully monitoring class indicators to ensure the correct class is selected before finalizing.)
•Re-placing tattoos after loading can lead to unexpected changes in tattoo saturation and even eye color when placed on the face.
•After loading, multiple glitches occur, such as incorrect tattoo boundaries on the abdomen, locked tattoo slots, an inability to delete the first marking, and even all markings only showing up on the third slot.

    Hello,

Some issue with the morphology of the body too:

    - you have like a hole in the back between the 2 omoplates depending on the size of the chest
    - when you change the siez of the chest it change the depth of the back too. Why ?
    - there is no option fo change the size of the belly? or i missed it
    - on the last customization option, with all the sliders for all the details, you can only change details on the head and its not really clear what changes what
    - there is little gap on the area we can modify with sliders, making is hard to change small details on the head or the body (when there will be sliders on the body)
    - arms are too long? for the vek or empyrean it may be on purpose but on the human it feels weird since its.. you know.. a human
    - beard clipping in the chin
    - nail lenght doesnt seems to work
    - when you chose secondary color for the hair, move on to another setting and come back on the hair color, secondary color is not selected anymore but still apparent on the character
    - a lot of visual on the menu are just blanc square
    - really disapointed to not be able to have red hair.. :'(
    - no option to lower up or down elements of the face (mouth, nose, eyes etc) or maybe i didnt find the option
    - no option to change the size of the head, hands and feet. disturbing when you change the size of the body and it doesnt match the rest of the body parts
