I noticed that when start to fight a new mob and my skills are on cooldown and I hit my skills to start attacking a mob the auto attack doesn't kick in. This was also a problem in WoW. You had to make a macro the read something like \

The /startattack would start up the auto attack which is missing from the melee abilities in AOC.
