Novice crafting costs

So I spent a fair bit of time trying to find novice gatherables so I could try some crafting. Took me a couple hours to find some daffodils (flax doesn't let me harvest it).

But in order to make the novice mana salve I have to process the daffodils into powder. Then buy honeycomb from a merchant. Then process a second time.

Honeycomb is 16cp, and each processing even in a big batch is 5cp so it costs 26-28cp + 2 minute craft time + gathering time, to craft a salve. But to buy one outright form a vendor next to the table is 9cp. He is also the only vendor I've found who sells the honeycomb needed to make it so there's not even any convenience or anything.
Honeycomb alone is nearly twice the cost of the salve, but even without it just the table costs make it cheaper to buy the salve outright.

I have found Honeycomb from in the different nodes merchants. Guess you just have to look around but I agree with the cost. It's cost WAY less to just buy it then it does to craft anything. It doesn't help as well that taxes are set to like 35% or higher, LOL.

I too would like to echo the thoughts in this thread instead of posting a similar one. I LOVE being a crafter in games. As we level, resources are rarer, costs are higher, for sure. But to make Both cost and time to craft are significant sinks at this stage and unsure whether this is intended or not. Plus the amount of fuel to craft? you are burning resources to process other resources and then paying more money than you can loot to start with which makes crafting something unachievable until later in game. Again, if this IS intended, well and good... but I'm not sure how many players will value this aspect as it stands now.
