So from my experience in A2 it seems like the storage is for one character only, which felt like a bit of a bummer since my fighter keeps looting ranger weapon and vice versa. (:

I personally feel like AoC is making it a bit too difficult to "swap mains" in the long run, which might hurt the game a bit when people feel "stuck" with characters when there is no good way of pivoting class choices. I have personally always thought that the more stuff that is account-wide; the better (GW2 is my favorite game in that matter - just about *everything* is account wide).

That said, I have never played a game with heavy focus on character-locked storage/inventories and would love to receive some insight from the players from L2 and the other games that AoC is aspiring from. Could someone please chime in? :)

Trade item to someone you trust, swap character, they trade it back.

If the vision is for each character to 'individually matter' (which one might do for many reasons and is probably an overall positive for Ashes), then it 'has to work this way' and your primary solution is the fact that there is no limitation on player trading other than Glint at the moment.

Until we start seeing Bind on Pickup items being common, I have no concerns about the lack of account-wide features.

L2 had pretty much what Azherae suggested, but in a system-based way (before Mail got introduced). The storage houses would have a special npc that would transfer your items from one char on your account to another. Pretty much a "trusted 3rd party", but w/o any potential for backstabbing.

And I do agree that this would be a great QOL cause GOD DAMN IT CAN YALL FUCKING STOP DROPPING MAGIC SWORDS AND BOWS GDI. I need physical tanky shit ffs!

Thank you both for your replies and your input!

I guess I'll have to look for a guild sooner rather than later for A2 testing since my community refuses to pay the alpha key prices (which I understand - their money; their choice n all). x] Just to find someone who can assist me in trading items between characters. :)
