UI Rework

I understand it could all be work in progress and placeholders, etc.
IMO the UI is a bit lackluster. The quest and other icons are stale. I'd like to see quest giver icons appear/disappear to only appear when a quest is available or ready to progress/turn in. Currently they stay active on the mini map and it'll just be a standard dialogue and you just click "end dialogue."
Also, icons appear and disappear like they're radius dependent and I'd like to see them when they're available at all times. Or at least give an option to enable/disable features.
Minimap colors of variation would be nice to differentiate between active quests and events, etc. Right now, it's all the same color yellow and it's difficult to see multiple areas of interest if they overlap.
The various windows when they open up don't currently enable the mouse cursor and you usually need to enable action mode to get the cursor. It might be a bug, but having the cursor enable when you open the skill/character/journal windows would be nice.
Lastly, the windows all seem a bit basic and unpleasant to look at in their current state. The text and color scheme remind me of like a standard Windows prompt or game from 20 years ago. Current MMOs seem to have a much more aesthetic pleasing look to them.
Maybe there's more but this is just what I've come up with from these 2 days of playing.

I totally agree, though. UI needs a few more iterations to get there. A lot of basic actions are combersome due to the primitive UI.
Reminds me of the original FFXIV before they completely overhauled the game for A Realm Reborn.
Honestly I like New Worlds UI, it's more flashy and easy to read lol
