Atunement Shrines

There were a lot of complications with selecting atunement vs home shrines.
When interacting with shrines it would only give the option to “set as home?” and the atunement would only occasionally set itself to a shrine if I came near it or it would automatically set my atunement if I set it as my home.
Resolution: when interacting with a shrine it should give a pop up option to either set this shrine as home or atunement and also provide the shrines you are currently set to so you know what you are replacing.

I feel like you should have to physically go to a shrine first to set atunement or home and have the option to pick which one you’re setting. You should also be able to check the map to see which is home and which is attuned, this may be a feature already but I couldn’t find it

The icons on the map change based on its attunement status and if it's set as home. Unattuned are a lighter grey, attuned a darker higher contrast grey, and the home spring is a rather gaudy looking gold (a bit much imo, but it stands out)

Edit: deleted the quote because it was redundant

I noticed the Home one lighting up on the map. But I could never see the one selected as attuned. On Friday and Saturday there was never an option to set separate attuned or home shrines. It was always only set as home and on death my respawn options were always the home and the attuned one was the same as home.

Maybe mine was bugged for two days?

You should be getting two options on death, your home spring and the nearest attuned spring. Attuning is different than setting a home shrine.

That's how it was working for me this weekend, where it'd give me the Aela gate option and the attuned one I'd set partway to the eastern-most node. (Can't remember its name at the moment)

That’s what I’m saying, I’d always have 2 options: home and attunement. But it was always the same, both were lionhold or jeova wherever. There was never a way to set my attunement to a shrine, it always asked “change home shrine” then it would automatically set my attunement to the same one. So sounds like I was bugged for the whole test then

That sounds like a bug if you weren't able to interact with others to set a new home location.

Attunement isn't the word you're looking for here, as an aside. That's only the process for unlocking it as a respawn point*. Setting a home point required a second interaction whenever I was unlocking them.

Edit: As a potential respawn point if you die nearby

You are attuned to every shrine you attuned to. If your nearest attuned shrine is also your home shrine then it is your only rez option.

There is no separate locked attune except your home.

This is why you see 'set as home' when clicking on a shrine you have already attuned to... because you only ever need to attune once.

Sounds like mine was bugged then. Because when I was set to Home on Jeova, and died near miraleth(yes I had already attuned at miraleth early on), my options were Jeova and Jeova. Any of the 10 shrines I attuned to previously could have been a respawn option if it was working because all of them would be closer proximity than jeova as home

Yes if that was your experience it sounds bugged. You should have been able to respawn at the closest shrine you have ever attuned to or to your home.
