A Quick Retrospective: Cleric

I absolutely loved last weekend's alpha testing! I played a cleric focused on single-target healing for my good friend who was tanking. I've made a ton of new friends and helped build a solid foundation for our guild, WompWomp!
As someone who's always been drawn to healing in MMOs—having played a resto druid in WoW and a scholar in FFXIV—choosing the cleric in Ashes felt like a natural fit. However, as a healer main, I've noticed a few bugs and issues that I'd like to discuss to enhance the quality of life for all clerics in Ashes.
Raid Frames: In WoW, there's a setting called "use raid style party frames" that I would love to see in Ashes. Currently, to position my raid frames, I have to open HUD customization, drag them to my desired spot, and save. If someone leaves or joins, I have to go through this process again. It's a bit tedious!
Mouseover Casting: I believe it was referred to as "hovercasting" or something similar. The functionality feels a bit off and should be prioritized in the targeting process. For instance, if I'm targeting an enemy but my mouse is over an ally in my raid frames, it shouldn't cast on the enemy. This definitely needs some refinement.
Cleric's Offensive Rotation: Right now, the cleric's DPS seems to revolve around auto-attacks until a deadly finisher proc burns, followed by casting Smite and repeating. While I assume subclasses will address this, having a DoT to track would keep things more engaging. Just something to consider for the future of the class.
That’s all for now! Everything about this game is fantastic, and I'm already hooked—my expectations have been exceeded!
