Longbow Feedback

Evening, it's me again. I am a fan of the longbow. However, currently the range of the longbow is only 5m more than the short bow. Considering how much faster a short bow can fire versus a longbow as well as how easy it is to move 5m the whole point of the longbow seems a moot point. Just run a shortbow. The range the longbow being increased would add value to having the longbow as a viable ranged slot option.

In addition to the above, the choice between wounded or snared for the status proc is pretty useless.
The class fantasy of using a longbow is standing in one place putting out big single target numbers - it's not a mobility gameplay like you'd want from a short bow.
Short bow is more like a skirmisher style fantasy.
Suggestion: move bleed from short bow and put it on longbow, and put snared in the short bow.
Wound is awesome for PvP and a few mobs (looking at you healers!). It used to be the AT&T of ranged. I could hit someone from about double range that it currently has. Tested it out in PvP and it fired slow as all get out BUT it was able to soften up a target as they closed the distance. As a tank, I could start running when they started firing and put the pressure back on them. Now, 5m difference is hardly 1 shot before they are in range and firing 4 times to my 1.
I am 100% in agreement with this. I want to run a ranger as my one alt (this game is not the most alt friendly, thank God) and being limited to 30-35m range seems to make the ranger just a phys caster whereas mages are arcane casters.
Longbow is stagger and wound btw and shortbows is snare and bleed
i think one of longbows passive though should be bonus range or bonus range when stationary maybe
I like all of this. I could get behind it. There is design philosophy for mace vs sword. For wand vs spell book. But, in longbow vs shortbow it seems that there is not as much difference.
