Alpha Two Realms are now unlocked for Phase II testing!
For our initial launch, testing will begin on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 10 AM Pacific and continue uninterrupted until Monday, January 6, 2025, at 10 AM Pacific. After January 6th, we’ll transition to a schedule of five-day-per-week access for the remainder of Phase II.

If getting killed over and over by same enemies, there needs to be less of a penalty

If you are flagged purple for PvP you get less of a penalty already, so just do that.
Nope I was being spawn camped. I only had one option to revive

Carebears are already trying to change Ashes. I've seen the same complaints about flagging and so forth.

You can set your home node somewhere else and spawn there.
Hmm I’m not sure that this needs to happen. I do know that the system is intended to be more punishing towards the PK if they keep killing the same player over and over.. however. Even that isn’t perfect. I feel like it could easily be circumvented by simply having a bunch of PKs taking turns to kill the same person…
I did but my only option was to revive at that spot, and I was dead before loading screen even cleared haha

Stopgap solutions that should probably make it to later builds, PvP immunity while in close proximity to an ember spring as they won't (or shouldn't) be putting those within contested areas, and a period of player-specific invulnerability for 30s-1min after respawning at an emberspring to ensure there's time for the player to load in.
If I ever get spawn camped in a non-lawless zone, I'll turn off PvP flag/not fight back and watch whoever is killing me get that sweet sweet corruption.
Once their corruption debuff turns their character into a level 1 Grem, I'll kill them
Asheron's Call always-on PVP server had a 5 minutes "cannot PVP" flag after being killed. Could be a decent solution, a few minutes to get your bearings/move/rebuff/prepare etc.
