With the A2 Phase 1 launch in the background I wanted to suggest resolutions for some of the biggest hurdles for new characters, specifically the zone immediately surrounding the gate/Lionhold.
The team is clearly aware of how impactful it is to get people out of Lionhold and away from the gate so we can get more players in and address the queue times. I believe that the first step is to transition the location of the "Sweat of your Brow" questline. It makes sense to actually transition the main quest location to be done around Briarmoor Farms. There is already a Lumbermill, Quarry, and Laboratory in close proximity which satisfy all the quest requirements. Only thing missing is the grinding wheel where the pickaxe is crafted. The pickaxe could be turned into a reward or a grinding wheel could be added to the Briarmoor Farms POI.
Earning the mount at Briarmoor farms also makes more sense, introduces the players to 3 possible events on their way to the area (Unruly Goblins, Broken Caravan, and Wolves at the Farm).
End the quest at the crafting cluster on the Western side of Lionhold. This would help spread out the players quickly by pushing them out of Lionhold to the North to fight goblins, East to perform Sweat on your Brow, and South to perform commissions.
Additionally having players encounter the Briarmoor farms Embershrine earlier means they are likely to attune and thus when they are working through the new player experience they are going to be reduce players at the Lionhold Embershrine while they process and review their characters after death.
The added importance on Briarmoor farms will also add to make the farm and the Western crafting circle more active and attractive locations for new players to occupy rather than trying to navigate their menus while standing in Lionhold.
Feedback and revisions are encouraged. Let's help new players with their starting experience and streamline getting more players out from under the Queue Boss.

Making people just run back and forth for no god damn reason serves 0 purpose for the introduction of players into the game.
It also doesn't even give us a realistic gameplay loop for the professions, because majority of people would usually go out in the wild, farm their shit and THEN come back. While the quest just has us running back and forth in quick succession. And if it was moved to Farms w/o moving the stations into a cluster - it will be even worse.
