Thorns causes combatant status - corruption loophole

Having the ranger's thorns ability on your character automatically triggers the combatant status when someone deals damage to you. This causes them to not gain corruption after killing you, and allows them to PK you in front of guards.


This was used repeatedly in Lionhold by a character named Asp (On Resna) to gank newbies as they approached the equipment vendor.

    I would like to suggest that passive defensive abilities not trigger the combatant status. It falls out of line with the concept that flagging as a combatant should be intentional.
