Caravans Feedback

I know that Caravans are a work in progress like just about everything else. Just wanted to mention a few things that I noticed. It seems like players get notified that there's a caravan nearby when they are super far from that caravan. I think this is an issue. Players are getting a pop up with "Caravan Event - Attack or Defend" when they are still a mile away and have no idea where this caravan is. They can't yet see who the owner or who the guild affiliation for the caravan.
My issue with this is that I feel like players should have to find / scout for caravans and only get this kind of notification once they are within something like 100m of a Caravan or have it in their line of sight. In its current form, players can be pretty far and doing something unrelated but once they get that notification, they'll likely drop everything they are doing to try and find this Caravan, which means that it will be pretty difficult to conceal Caravans or use obscure routes if ppl will just know from a mile away there's a caravan in the area.
I think players should have to look for and find caravans.. instead of the system letting everyone know they're in the area. This will mean players will have incentives to create scouting networks ect..
On another note, once a player gets close to a caravan and has it in its Line of Sight and they get the notification, to Attack or Defend, there should be a third option to simply ignore the caravan. That being said, players should be able to bring back the notification somehow if they later decide to change their minds.
Just my opinions... I know Caravans likely don't work as intended right now.

Yeeeeah that feels like it might be a tad on the large side of things lets just notify the entire node and then some :P
especialy when people start hitting 25 and no longer have to level they be hunting caravans quite heavily now their leveling is done
Yeah.. I strongly believe the system shouldn't notify anyone of Caravans. Players should have to find them on their own. Once they find them, they should be able to target the caravan and "Right Click" to get the options to Attack or Defend. I feel like this would make things much better.
not sure from that far away but if your scout ( yea you will have something scouting for long distance) sees something fishy then you would possibly stop in the next town nearby and re launch it at another time or just keep going to risk it
