Will getting your minerals from a location affect what the weapon/armor/item does?

I'm planning on being a weapons smith and merchant when the game releases and I got to wondering. If you were to mine in a tundra biome would the weapons made from that location's minerals have an ice affect?

I was thinking that would be a cool mechanic especially if your node was in a place like a desert.

That would be cool if variants of common materials existed and replacing them in recipes give extra effects but I don't think that is a mechanic.

One of the original ideas of Ashes is that resources would be unique to an area (assume biome) and part of the gameplay would be transporting these goods across the map. The further away from the resource spawn location, the more money you would make because of how scarce the resource is.

They haven't really gone into detail of that. From what I know, it is only for monster drop items that would sell for higher price in more distant nodes (like Black Desert Online coins), but I would like to see this implemented for gatherable resources too.

Intrepid is not testing this sort of system right now tho, this type feedback will be more relevant in future phases of Alpha 2 when the map gets larger.
