the time it takes to do anything in this game

everything is time gated in this game..

caravans move very very slow... crafting takes real time, then you need to grind mobs in order to level up

is this really the direction we are going with this game?

atleast boost the caravan speed and make crafting usefull without time consume.

what is your opinion about this?

There are plenty of newer and older MMORPGs out there with the 'go-go-go' mindset, (looking at Wolrd of Warcraft) that group of players love there mythic+ trash, where everything moves fast and grinding isn’t really part of the experience—you’re welcome to play any of those. But Ashes of Creation is unique in bringing back a sense of depth and progression that actually takes time, reminding me of the immersive feel of games like Ultima Online and the early days of Old School RuneScape. Personally, I think they’re going in the right direction, and I hope Steven sticks to his vision. This kind of experience is refreshing, and it’s exactly what I’m looking for in an MMO.

We are testing system. There a is a main line quest that levels you a d takes you all over the map. There will be a golden level path. It was tested in A1. This is what we signed up for. IS testing needs will keep changing.

    Finally.

A developer who isn't afraid to create challenge.

Finally a developer who doesn't spoon feed.

Finally a developer who understands inconvenience IS gameplay.

After playing these two weekends, I have never been more excited to progress at a game. Yesterday I finally got armor for nearly all my gear slots after farming, and it felt amazing.

It felt like I actually achieved something after working for it. And the difference in survivability was palpable too

Getting each new piece of gear was like getting a blue in classic wow.

I can only imagine how good it's going to feel to get non-white gear in ashes 😍

Caravans don't move that slowly. With even minimal effort into novice-level beats of burden and making sure you are stacking bard and ranger buffs it's actually quicker than it seems.

Base level nothing has to be pitiful in order for gains to be meaninful (mana regen concerns similarily - one you start getting mentalism and mana regen gear it's less of an issue)
