Suggestion: Have surveying give a 30m buff to make nodes very visible, and mini-map indicator

At the moment, Lumberjacking feels in a great spot. However, mining feels so sparse that even finding basic stone in a large amount to level up is fairly tedious, with the run ending up with over half my time running around squinting my eyes at the terrain trying to find mineable stuff. Same thing, but to a lesser extent, for herbalism. Having surveying shine a big beam of light on the nodes, and showing the nearby nodes on the mini-map would be extremely helpful. With the ability to toggle marked nodes for only the ones you can mine would be very nice too. Thanks!

[Also, please fix copper/zinc, which seems bugged and has a ridiculously low spawn rate, and all we find are high level mining nodes (and you need 1250+ copper & zinc to build the buildings to be able to make the tools to harvest that stuff).]

probes should make nodes visibile that aren't visible without them. Make it actually worth doing rather than just finding it without them.

I tried out the surveying for mining, lumber, herb, and fishing.

For lumber I felt that other than the increased efficiency (hoping that translated to gathering speed) I felt the survey was mostly pointless as the trees are so visible.

Herb and Mining the survey seemed totally pointless because the buff only lasts 30 mins, respawn times are longer than this, and I was able to deplete all nodes within my skill range within the tiny area of the survey in less than 5 mins.

Fishing, again other than the maybe slightly higher gathering speed (which I am not sure is what they mean by increased efficiency) this was pointless. Now I understand that at the moment there are not fishing nodes in game, but for now this pylon seems useless.

Final thoughts, as far as I know there is not a skill for the surveying and not tiers of quality of pylons, so no way to increase the size of the survey area. Due to this, I feel like the size of the survey is incredibly small and should be somewhere between 4-6 times as much overall area. I do really like the idea that the survey should also put map markers on your mini-map for harvestables that are within your skill level. These two changes would give a lot of meaning to what I feel is at present an unnecessary added level of complexity with no reward.

I agree that the surveying system doesn't feel rewarding atm. One feature that would make me wanna use it more is some kind of report on your pylon telling you what kind of resources are available around/can be expected usually (i.e. getting more intel on whether or not this gathering spot is worth it overall).
