Nature Mage / Witch Archetype?

I've been looking into getting into the game. My main fantasy of any game like this is to make a witch like character. The promise of being able to craft and get into herb gathering and potion making is appealing.
however the classes do not seem to really support witch-like characters or nature themed characters. Ranger is what comes closest, but no witch I know uses a bow, and the mage / ranger combination does not seem to focus on applying nature elements to the mage spells at all.
My concern / worry / hope is that we somehow get a more witch coded subclass, or the ability to create more witchy characters. I can work with a druid that focuses on nature and control spells as well. Of course we don't know much about all the subclasses, but I feel like a lot of the themes there are repetivtive in some way, at least judging by name, and that will hopefully get stronger individual themes. Brood warden for example stands out as exceptional in themeing, while something like protector feels rather weak from the little information we have.
Is there any reassurance that I will be able to have my fantasy of being a witch?

I presume since Druid is one of the only classes not out yet in this game, it looks like an expansion further down the line after game releases and ages a bit
Probably then with the archetype around a Druid primary class will you most likely have your “witch”
It might be possible that mage/ranger does give the mage some more nature-y flavor; and the same goes with combos like cleric/ranger or summoner/ranger.
Otherwise, based on the mob summoners we've seen, it might seem like summoner is a more appropriate pick, potentialy dealing with nature spirits and/or spirits of the dead. Guess we have to see which class fantasy summoner is themed around!
Hadn't realised we'd seen the effects of taking Ranger as a Secondary Archetype to Mage. You have a link for that?
