[BUG] Inaccessible Typography in Quest Text for Players with Limited Eyesight

I’m struggling with a major issue that impacts my experience: the chat and quest text is extremely difficult to read due to the typography choices. For players with lesser eyesight (in my case, I just wear glasses cause I'm old), the current font style and size make it nearly impossible to follow dialogue or understand quest instructions.

The UI scale setting doesn’t improve readability enough, and while I understand the desire to keep the design minimal and immersive, a GUI should feel like a reliable companion: there when you need it and unintrusive when you don’t. Right now, though, it feels more isolating, as I feel disconnected from the story and dialogue due to the lack of legibility.

Suggested Fixes:
  • Consider offering a more accessible font option or increasing the default font size.
  • Provide additional UI scaling options or a specific accessibility toggle for larger text in dialogue and quest windows.
  • Test readability with people with limited eyesight.

I’d love to fully enjoy the game, but this issue makes it challenging.
Thank you for considering accessibility improvements to make the game more inclusive for all players.

I can read the text fine in your first screenshot, but you're on a much larger resolution than myself. I 100% agree that the UI scaling needs changing though.

I'm playing on 1920x1080 as the current main monitor I use is for comp shooters and the UI is near unreadable without leaning right in. The quest text is too small as well as a few other things that I can't remember off the top of my head now that the servers are down.

And as you mentioned, changing the overall UI scaling doesn't feel nice and messes with the UI a lot.

I hope they can give us the option to change the scaling on individual HUD elements such as the quests window and things like the skills window and journal.

I concur I'm struggling with reading the chat and quest fonts - the font needs to be increased without having to scale the windows. As it is, I am taking a screen shot of quest text and then enlarging the picture on a secondary monitor. This is not a fun way to play.

I am joining the club. Inability to increase font size of the chat and quest log have had major impact on my game experience. I had to reduce resolution of my screen and put a pair of glasses to be barely able read the text. I am aware that this is a just temporary UI, but if you don't do something about it, I would not be able to do the quests or communicate in game properly.

my concern is similar to the original posters with the added complication that I play on a 55inch screen and sit 6 to 8 feet away, playing at my native resolution of 1920x 1080 all text is near impossible to read without moving closer or increasing to text size please correct this.
