I gotta say I envy you guys with a Microcenter nearby. This bundle is an amazing budget option to build a gaming PC on. Sure, you still need all the other components, but it can work as an upgrade too, to get into the AM5 platform: https://www.microcenter.com/product/5006834/amd-ryzen-5-7600x3d,-asus-tuf-gaming-b650-plus-wifi,-gskill-flare-x5-series-32gb-ddr5-6000-kit,-computer-build-bundle

That 7600x3d is a sleeper and a Microcenter exclusive. Seeing as the 7800x3d has jumped back up in price that $300 7600x3d is good value. Those bundles are great fro new PC builders.

I'll hold out on my 7500F until maybe the 9600x3d becomes a thing in a couple of years or second hand 7800x3d are abundant.

The new 9800x3d in Australia is $800AUD so that's a hard pass for me.

Wanted to give everyone an update! Swapped the GPU to a AMD Steel Legend RX 7600 which was what Microcenter suggested which was fairly priced at $350. He said there's no rush to swap the CPU and can do that at a later point. Currently running Ashes at max graphics with no issues :)

I just looked at Microcenter current prices.

the 7600 is not great at $350 being only an 8gb card.

    you could have got a 7600xt 16gb for $309

    a 12gb 7700xt for $360

    and a RX6800 16gb for $350.

They guy at Microcenter sold you a dud. "fairly priced" BS

My pick would have been the RX6800. The XFX version though is a LONG GPU so make sure it fits in your case.

All of these cards put the RX7600 to shame.

Sorry for that info, but i would honestly take it back under a 30 day dissatisfaction policy.

I understand it plays the game for you fine, but you could have done vastly better price to performance.

If you need AV1 encoding and are on 1440p the 7700XT would be better.

If you don't need AV1 encoding and do some light 4k gaming the RX6800 is fantastic value and typically draws less than 200watts

    you wrote RX7600...

I assumed you had purchased the non XT 8gb version.

The 7600XT still isn't great price to performance.

I had to use a VPN to access microcenter from Australia but here are some better GPU for about $350 on sale.

Still suggest you consider returning the 7600XT if you can unless you wanted to pay premium for a white GPU with RGB.

My advice is to start over and piece something that's going to last for a while.

Buy nice or buy twice (or atleast have to upgrade more often)
PvP focused: TERA / Wildstar / Aion
PvE focused: WoW / FFXIV / Lineage II
Sandbox: Ultima Online / Darkfall / Mortal Online
Big Influence: SNES Fighting games / Starcraft / Diablo II / Smite
