Mount Hunting is Boring ~ Here’s How to Make It Exciting!

Well, there's no doubt that hunting animals for mounts or beasts of burden is not only boring but also unsatisfying.
I always envisioned it working more dynamically, where any animal could be up for grabs of course, with a chance of failure to keep it interesting.
Currently, you have to wander around until you find a wolf or another creature just standing there like a rock or tree, then press "F." It doesn’t feel very engaging.
I remember an MMO back in the day that was incredibly satisfying in this regard. Every animal \"dragon" was up for grabs. You'd have to fight it until it was low on health, then attempt to capture it through a challenging minigame.
The higher the creature's level and quality, the tougher the minigame would be.
Here's a video showing how it worked:

I hope we can get a hunting system that functions more like this, something that brings skill, strategy, and satisfaction back into capturing our mounts and companions. Ashes can expand this as well using traps and bait and so on as well.

Just the BEST mounts will be from animal husbandry profession as far as i know.
This means that the mounts that you get in the wild are just a stepping stone before you get something better.
The video there is actually stunning compared to what is in AoC for hunting right now. I would love to see something more interactive like what you showcased.
Yes, my suggestion and video were meant for hunting. I'm not saying you should get a mount just from capturing it, as you do in that video.
So yes mounts are "made" in the pen of Animal Husbandry.
Brings to mind SotA. 😎👍
They have said many times that the crafting will be engaging and complex.
Of course, that is why I made the quote at the bottom of the OP.
But feedback is important better to give it now than in Beta, when they can't or won't change it.
