Glorious Alpha Two Testers!

Alpha Two Realms are now unlocked for Phase II testing!

For our initial launch, testing will begin on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 10 AM Pacific and continue uninterrupted until Monday, January 6, 2025, at 10 AM Pacific. After January 6th, we’ll transition to a schedule of five-day-per-week access for the remainder of Phase II.

Suggestion: Crafting commision

Would be handy to have crafting commission craft 10 of x items and what not, this would allow to level up crafts and still have a use for items that u craft instead of making 50 odd pairs of gloves and selling them at a loss to the npc

rewards can be XP, crafting XP and chance of a recipe for that profession

    I loved that system in Vanguard.... did not have to harvest up tons of mats just to skill up. You just did craft commission quests and the better the item result the better the reward. Rewards were coin, mats, rare mats, harvest mats, rare harvest mats, or recipes.

    Now I spent hours looking for zinc/copper/gems only to almost never fine any to work on skills. I also end up losing most of what I farm due to deaths from pvp, players training mobs on me to loot my stuff, or just dying in general and someone loot my stuff before I get back to it.

    This was one of my favorite crafting systems in the many games I have played over the years. I liked that I had options and could choose to farm and skill up, or I could do the commissions and level up. The rewards were nice and varied as well. Only thing I think was missing that I have seen in some other games was supply contracts, where an NPC wants X amount of crafted goods and you the player provide both the mats and the finished products, then the rewards for these are higher than if you were to just vendor the items you craft. That way if you are going to gather, you can get some reward for that work as well.

    I would love to see these two systems implemented into AoC.

    Having crafting commissions would also be a nice offset XP wise since you could give crafting XP as a reward or character XP. And it would be really easy to tweak.
    I really like that suggestion. I feel like they have that planned anyway.

    I think EQ2 had crafting quests too. I enjoyed it.
