Feeback to the meele and ranged weaponslots.

First off, I didn't have the chance to enter Verra yet. This Feedback is purely based on several hours watching the Intrepid streams and Alpha 2 gameplay.

I don't know if there is a specific reason behind this design choice but having a destinct slot for meele and ranged is limiting the the build variety. I personally prefer to be able to equip 2 sets of meele or ranged weapons.
For example playing a Tank with sword and shield and beeing able to switch to a greatsword for some more meele dmg. Or as an archer to swap between short and longbow depending on the situation.
This would provide another skill layer to the combat and more freedom to create the character we want to play.

Aside from that I'm also a little sad the crossbow didn't make it into the game. Would have been fun playing a Tank/Archer using shield and crossbow or Rouge/Archer using dual crossbows 🙂

Fairly certain crossbows are coming later. in P2 of Alpha 2 we are getting more weapons. 2h mace, 2h axe, 2h spear, dual daggers. It's still early yet. things will change

Hope so 🙂 It's just that for the moment it seems the design is for every character to have 1 ranged and 1 meele weapon equiped which i personally don't like.

If that's not the case it would be great to hear that. 🙂

Crossbows are not coming, Steven said they weren't going to be in the game and then they refunded everyone who had a crossbow skin (or they replaced the skin I cant remember)

As for the topic of the thread, I hope they go to two weapon sets instead of 1 ranged and 1 melee. I'd like to be able to have 1 weapon for aoe and 1 for single target or 1 2hander and sword and board.
