[Major QOL Improvement] - Enable Basic Chat Features For Social Grouping
Punkte
Member, Alpha Two
Just going to put this out there.
Playing the game and having to type /whisper <playername>
and then then whispering me back and having to go /whisper <playername> is a REALLY poor and quite frustrating first experience of the game.
There really needs to be a concerted focus on getting basic social chat tools in place as quickly as possible especially when players are frequently grouping with others on a daily test basis.
These are also not some sort of advanced chat functionality that should come in later on in alphas but more basic social grouping tools that should have probably been put into the game before Alpha 2 went live.
/whisper should have an alias of /w.
/r should automatically preset a whisper of the last person who whispered you to reply back to them.
Left Clicking on a persons name in chat should automatically preset the user to whisper the person who's name you clicked.
Right clicking on a persons name in chat should pop up a select box that allows the user to invite the person to group (can be the only thing in the select box for now).
(less important but still necessary)
Shift + Left Clicking on a persons name in chat should show a system message in Chat showing the Level of the Player and Class they are so you know quickly that its not some level 3 healer trying to get into a grp for level 10+ group content (has happened numerous times for me).
Adding these in asap would help provide an easier testing environment and make the experience feel less cumbersome for players.
I don't forsee these additions being difficult challenges in any respect, and the qol provided by adding them in asap would be monumentally better experience and provide easier testing efforts.
