Lore Question: How can you cast spells or use wands/books/scepters the moment you get to Verra?

Saw old threads on this... wondering if anyone has more updated lore information.
But how can you cast spells or use wands/books/scepters the moment you get to Verra? Is it so intuitive that it just flows from you? Should you not need to train or study before being able to cast anything or at least any spell of an organized variety?
And does this apply to NPCs? I get that scholars and wizard/healer guards are important for balance and quest progression... but how did anyone get SO good at magic so fast?

You come from a place that does not have essance. When you step through the portal you are filled with essance, the magic of Verra. The ones that came before you, stocked the area with the tools you needed.

Honestly, the world as it is currently presented is totally disconnected from the actual story of Verra we have been given.

It's as if the games designers just took random crap from "generic MMORPG254" and added it to this game with no thought to even try to tie things in.

Not sure if none of what we see now is intended to make it to the live game, if they gave up on the original concept, got lazy, or just aren't good enough. One of those four has to be true though.

Steven's said previously in one of the AMAs that different people have a different level of attunement with The Essence. Some people are naturally gifted with it, whereas others aren't as much.

We play one of those that is naturally gifted.

I was thinking about that...you should just do the welcome to verra quest and kill 3 goblins auto attacking. then turn in and the npc would tell you something like " why did it take you so long to kill those goblins" then you explain you attacked them etc and then he teaches you about magic and you get your first few skills.
