Constant UE / GPU Crashes

Thought i would post here too. Since A2 launch i have experience an insane number of crashes. Looking at my crash logs from yesterday alone, i had 29 crashes (this is the number i have pretty much every test day)

Things that cause crashes
1) Walking into or around Lionhold and the starter area where the creeper things are attacking
2) occasionally from interacting with NPCs / Vendors
3) any area that has a large number of players or npcs / enemies (however doesnt crash if i dont look at them) so events also cause me a problem
4) joining a group
5) walking around nodes
6) pointing my screen so it shows everything (sky/mountains/trees/terrain etc)

and since the patch on 9th November i also now crash 99% of the time on character select screen. however what is strange is that my main server Lotharia, i have all 5 char slots used, this crashes 99% just looking at my characters. If i happen to get into the game on another server where i only have 1 char, it seems to be fine.

My PC Specs:

Windows 10 / Windows 11 as of Nov 16th
GPU = AMD Radeon Vii (2019)
CPU = AMD Ryzen 5 2600x
RAM = 32GB
no anti-virus or firewall other than windows defender

What i have done to try and fix:

1) Removed and reinstalled GPU drivers (doesnt really affect anything, even if i try older drivers). problem is also that Radeon vii seems to only allow older drivers whilst the newer AMD cards have access to the very latest drivers. on launch, the game does say i am not on the latest drivers even after i have downloaded the latest from the website AND used the latest from AMD Adrenaline.
2) updated Motherboard Bios
3) tried to disable GPU hardware acceleration, unfortunately there was no option to do this in the latest version of amd adrenaline so the web suggested doing this through Registry so i created a file to disable this. - did nothing
4) An Intrepid customer service advisor suggested reinstalled Visual C++ Redistributable - i tried it and had no effect.
5) ran memory tester program - didnt find any issues.
6) i found an article on unreal engine regarding adding/editing Registry, i added 3 files to TdrDelay and TdrDdiDelay to 60 and then reduced down to 30. This had a minor effect but the game still seems to crash A LOT.
7) Clicked repair on launcher - doesnt fix anything
8) Tried Reinstall at least 3 times - doesnt fix anything
9) Nov 16th test 1 - upgrade from windows 10 to windows 11 - didnt fix anything
10) Nov 16th test 2 - changed my pc setting to use directx 11 instead of directx12 - SLIGHT improvement although graphics really look terrible now, i still crash A LOT but maybe a tiny bit less

i do keep an eye on the crash dumps to ensure they do not take up too much space and i delete them if they get too much.

I am convinced the issue is with the graphics drivers not being compatible, but if AMD arent releasing a driver update for Radeon vii and Intrepid/unreal arent making the game compatible with PCs with older drivers then i dont know what else to do.

I have not encountered these issues in any other game, even ones that use UE5.

Finally, buying any new hardware right now is not possible.

Latest edit: myself and a few other friends of mine who play found this really funny......if I zoom my camera right in and look at the floor I now rarely crash! So I can't look at anything or see where I'm going, but it does seem to yield fewer crashes 😂

Nov16th edit: whenever i crash now, it spawns me underground and constantly keeping dropping me. eventually it respawns me at the nearby emberspring - very annoying !

You're living my life... I'm using a Nvidia GeForce 3090 TI. I've never crashed on the login screen. It runs just fine. Then, out of nowhere, my monitor goes black. My fan will then go ape shit crazy like my PC is overheating (it's not), and I'm forced to turn off my PC manually.

Same here.. Nvidia RTX 3090.. As soon as I walk a few steps, my screens go black, the fan spins up and I have to restart the computer manually.

I have a 3080 TI and mine does the exact same thing. Only way I can fix it is to do a hard reset. This is the only game I've ever experienced this issue with.

For every one experiencing the monitor signal loss issue:

Create a ticket with the support team. There was a pinned thread about this and it was unpinned with no follow up from staff. Best bet now is to send in tickets and ask them to get it added to the known issue list.

How to send in logs and ticket: https://support.ashesofcreation.com/hc/en-us/articles/32162037612435-How-do-I-submit-game-logs-and-diagnostic-files

The original pinned thread that had other reports of this happening: https://forums.ashesofcreation.com/discussion/62010/bug-hunting-gpu-crashes-and-running-out-of-vram

Most people have seen that turning off Super Resolution and capping to 30FPS gives a couple of hours of playtime before this type of issue happens again.

I have the same issue with my RTX 3080 Palit GamingPro OC. From 1 min to 1 hour randomly black screen fan boost and ( thats all folks ) then i need to reboot my computer. Does not depend on the game graphics settings etc.

The joke is it start happening after a two months since Alpha Two started and i was played without any crashes at all.

    CPU - R5 5600x
GPU - RTX 3080 Palit GamingPro OC
    MB - Asrock B450M Pro 4 R2
    RAM - 32Gb Kingston
PSU - SuperFlower Leadex SE 1200W Platinum

Im sure that it is not the hardware bug and it cant be the hardware bug any players have on many different computer configurations.

It is the only one game that crash my computer. And only one game on UE5 with this type of issue. I playing STALKER 2 on the same engine with no issues.
No issues with any benchmarks. No issues playing hours in Cyberpunk in 4K with RTX on. etc.

The problem has been solved for me!!!

I took out the video card, cleaned all the contacts to a mirror shine, also blew and brushed the pci-e slot on the motherboard and inserted it several times, took out the power and put it back on, reassembled everything and the problem disappeared completely. For a second hour now, the game has been playing calmly in normal mode, showing me 60% cooling speed in 4K on ultras without jerks and overloads. Apparently, the fault was not the full contact in the pci-e connector, it's funny that other games were not so critical and did not crash the system.

I had constant system lockups with my 3090 gaming rig. I was able to stabilize to some extent by upgrading the bios on my MSI motherboard. I've had heat issues with the 3090 from day one which led me to water-cooling the graphics card. This helped a ton with keeping temps under control but the amount of heat that stupid card generated was beyond the pale. Can warm an 800sq ft room with the heat I'm pulling through the rad. After wrestling with the instability for 3 weeks I decided to upgrade my rig. After upgrading to an AMD 7 9800x3d / nvidia 4070ti I've had zero stability issues. I think if you want to try and get some stability out of the 3080/3090 series cards you might need to undervolt and have a real solid cooling solution in place.
