Unable to arrange inventory/bags

I came to a point when my material bags were filling up I wanted to be able to swap items that occupy the same space allocation but the Inventory will not allow it to happen...
So the situation is either drop an item to make space enough to shuffle or ignore the item that would have fit if you could arrange you bags...
Could not swap logs...[3] with another [3] let alone a [1+2]
Could not swap [2+2] herbs with a [4] ore
The inventory system is already a bit of a ball ache, I understand its limited to support caravans. But not being able to freely arrange/swap items with the same space constraints is beyond painful.
