Clerics should not start with Mend.

It's honestly a very poor and wasteful healing spell that lacks real control. You spam the spell and hope its small amount of healing is enough until you get access to proper heals. Maybe that was the intended design, but it feels bad and should be replaced with Deliverance instead. Deliverance is a versatile, cooldown-free spell that gives clerics great control over their healing. For a new player, Deliverance offers a much better experience. You can cast it quickly for fast but expensive heals that can save allies in a pinch, or hold it for better mana efficiency. It’s the perfect spell for someone playing a healer class for the first time.
But hey that's just how I feel, let me know what ya'll think.

However, it feels like Deliverence will be in every healers base kit, while Mend makes for a better optional skill.
It is just so efficient when you get 5 charges, and it is so easy to spam it, for me if you fire it fast enough 5 charges are healing really well. It is also really good and super efficient for self heals.
Getting it forced also makes you learn to watch your cooldowns - its pretty effective early on if you use it on cd (if there is sth to heal). Not so good when you are already missing 50%
You don't need to run fast, just faster than your friend. Amen.
