Anti-Zerg mechanics in place?

GrulshGrulsh Member, Alpha Two
Are there any Anti-Zerg mechanics in place? If so, can someone please list or detail them? Throne and Liberty is being ruined by Zergs for PVP.

Ashes is in early alpha - not even at a beta test stage.

About 90% of the game isn't in place.

I agree, it is ok if the system isnt in yet, but is or WILL there be a system? If so, what will be be?

Steven believes that the lack of fast travel in Ashes is enough to counter zergs from a PvP perspective.

oh... I agree with Steven on most things, however, not that! Zergs will ruin this game if they do not prepare ahead of time with mechanics. Then eventually poeple will get burnt out and quit. Regardless of how great everything about the game is, that one thing will destroy an mmo.

I think the systems that are in place will make more sense when people are losing REAL armors at high levels for attacking friendly players not flagged. Once people start losing things they had to work for days to get, they won't be so likely to pull shenanigans. Right now, people have nothing to lose, its not permanent, they are just doing whatever. If things get bad, they will crack down, but they want SOME pvp natural, some cases where taking corruption is worth the risk. There really isn't much risk if you have crappy armor and don't care about losing it.

See, I disagree with Steven on many things, including that.

We may end up seeing some other form of zerg protection if things get out of hand, but if things get out of hand, it's already too late.

In a game with full body loot, Zergs will run around and murder masses amount of people like they did in Darkfall and go back and loot all their stuff. Do not believe that will deter them.
