Alternate crafting tool recipes seem more than useless

At least for the lumberjack axe. The alternate version has the same stats as the base, but unlike the normal one it takes higher tier resource (slate), but turned into a mold that only apprentice stonemason(?) can make. The other two resources also require apprentice in different professions ... so you need 4 apprenticeships (three to make and one unlocked to acquire in the first place) to make one tool.

Presumably this disparity is not intended for the release version, but right now the disparity in effort for the same tool is crazy.

According to ashen codex they have different stats on each type (3 types) and quality of them make a huge difference white quality not a big difference but pop it down to like heroic its huge. There like 3 logging stats.
    Speed, Rarity, Quanity
Each axe has 2 of these base and third stat comes if it higher quality and the 3rd stat will be the best the higher the quality so if u want a rarity axe u actualy want to have a better quality axe that has speed and quanity on not actualy an axe that starts with rarity

The stats listed were identical to the normal apprentice axe. To avoid confusion, I'm comparing this recipe: https://ashescodex.com/db/item/Gear_Artisan_Lumberjacking_Tool_Axe_T2_1 to the one you linked. The base stats are the same, but the requirements to make the quick-axe are laughably more difficult.

It is possible that it is a UI bug and the stats, in reality, will be better, but I couldn't make it as the server (which I think has the most upgraded nodes of all the servers) is still nowhere near having the infrastructure to support the construction of said quick-axe.

In regards to the tiers, I totally believe you. My blue apprentice mining pick has insane stat bonuses (with rarity being the third and best stat - something like +64 rarity) as compared to my lowly green apprentice lumberjack axe. But right now it looks like equal tiers of either axe would have equal rolls.

So I am not sure about the final product in game, but the tooltips on the three different versions on the codex ARE different. The one Veeshan linked is Lumberjacking Speed and Lumberjacking Rarity, the one you linked is Lumberjacking Quantity and Lumberjacking Rarity, finally the third recipe is Lumberjacking Speed and Lumberjacking XP. I thought they looked identical in the game, but either way, the stat choice between speed and quantity isn't worth all of your apprenticeship slots (you are limited in how many you can have) nor the grade of materials required for that difference. Right now you can make the basic one with all tier 1 materials, whereas the quick-axe requires all tier 2 processed materials, each requiring an apprentice to make (and a specific node upgrade). I'm betting most of the servers won't even have the infrastructure to make that axe before phase II of the Alpha.

This is like having your T1 gear craft-able with the current recipes in the game, but you can have a very slight but stat-equivalent version that requires you to be max level and have all T1 artisan skills at level 10 in order to make (which isn't quite equivalent as its possible to have this now, where-as it still isn't possible to make the quick-axe).

I don't really care that this item exists, I'm just making sure the devs are aware that this disparity exists and that no one is going to make this item and hence it won't get tested.
