Ranger's Snipe

I have a few takes on this:
The passives for this skill are 100% useless.
1 passive gives 5 seconds of 20% increased attack speed. This is... utterly useless??? With the longbow, that is about 5 auto-attacks. It is the same with or without the buff. It would be something if the attack speed for bows would decrease the casting time for skills, but it doesn't.
The other passive gives an extra crit chance to the snipe if you shoot from 25+ meters away. Well, I have different takes here: How do I know the distance between me and the target? No UI shows me the distance to basically make use of this passive.
When does it calculate the distance? When I started casting it? When I fired it? When it hit? Because depending on how this happens, I change my way of using it.
The cast time... 4 seconds?!?!?! 4??? In PVP if the enemy sees me cast the snipe he starts running away, and by the time I fire it, he goes behind a wall and my snipe hits the wall and does nothing or, he runs so far away that my snipe is canceled.
It is such a disadvantage... It is a skill that has a 60s cooldown, 4s cast time, can't move, can't interrupt, can miss, can be blocked, and can be nullified by going behind a structure.
Yeah, it does 400% damage, it is our highest-damage skill, risk-reward thing. But... compared to other classes that have also very high damage skills, they don't have nearly as many disadvantages.

the main issue with snipe is mages get fireball that does 350% dmg +100%+100% more with the apassive dot dmg with a mobile skill that has less cooldown (instant cast after blink aswell)
not to mention all mage skills have basicly half the cooldown time and half the mana cost compared to ranger skills so why play ranger over mage?
But anyway, that 20% does not feel simply because everything is a cast skill in the ranger arsenal. and that 20% means literally nothing in reality.
Yes, our snipe is bad. All skills get ruined because of the cast time and because of the double mana consumption.
Our passives/buffs/debuffs are too weak.
The ranger needs some love and somebody at Intrepid needs to compare it with the fighter, bard and the mage at face-value so they finally see what we all noticed, and then finally give the ranger the role of the dps and the second most mobile class.
But lets say using evade reduces cast speed of snipe by 50% so you have a good combo of evading into a snipe this will also allow the ability to be used in the middle of a fight not just at the beginning opening the fight with why they dont see it coming (which the only real use for it atm)
