Ranger overall

The ranger must be renamed in Physical Ranged Caster. It is not a ranger whatsoever.
All it does is cast shooting arrows.

Please remove the cast times of the skills, or decrease them considerably.
The ranger is supposed to be about mobility. All it does is sit in one place and cast skills because you can't move while casting.

A ranger should be squishy, but right now it can't outmaneuver any other class besides the bard. Fighters have 2 leaps and stuns, no matter what, you can't go far enough to cast Snipe. Tanks chain you up and throw you to the ground. Mages put you to sleep and root you. Clerics... they don't even care. Heal Heal Heal until you pepsi.

The marks are useless. They have too high a cooldown and they are applied for just a mere 6 seconds. That is not a mark, that is a 1-skill usage. Because by the time you cast 1 skill, your mark has expired...

The buffs are... meh. They could use some overhaul. The roots one, that damages the one that hits you with 1/3 of the ranger's level is... useless? The damage is basically a tickle.
The health regen one is too low to notice. It takes multiple minutes of afk to regen from low hp to full with that buff.
The spirit marks could be increased too and changed. I didn't see any ranger using anything else besides the raven buff (yet), the one that increases your attack penetration (which btw, does penetration even work?)

Camouflage: What is even this? Half of the time it does not even work. It gets interrupted if you run, if you walk, if you breathe... It would be a really nice ability if I could cast it to run through mobs without aggroing. That would probably make this ability the best in the game. But now I didn't even put it in my hotbar.

The trap is a total waste of points and space in the skill tree.

The vines skill is fine, we have a root skill... yey... But it does not root for long enough to help me cast 1 snipe...

The air strike damage is a total letdown for the amount of mana and time it outs your out-of-combat while doing the acrobatic show.

Raining death: You can't use this skill indoors. The damage is bleah for the amount of mana it uses.

Thundering shot with the upgrade: Yes. Finally, a skill that is saying: Ranger!

Lightning reload: Yes. That is perfect. The issue comes you can't use it for anything else because by the time you cast the rotation, your cooldowns are back. But if the skills wouldn't have an hour-long cast time, this skill screams DPS. Yes.

Imbue ammo: So-so. I don't use anything else besides bleeding because it synergizes with the other skills. The slow one is useless in pve. And in PVP I don't have time do the full auto-attack to get to the finishers to have just a 10% chance of slowing the enemy down. So not using it. The daze one... no.

Headshot is good. A normal skill in the ranger's arsenal. Cast time perfect, about 0.5-1s, mana usage good, but the damage is not that much? It is only worth using it if the target is less than 50% and only worth using it with the passive that increases the damage to 50%. At low level, it just uses up skill points and does flat less damage than just auto attacks. It does not really have synergy with the silenced stuff.

Party strider: ok-ish.
Call of the wind: a cleanse. Good for rangers. Its fine.

Barrage: I feel that the damage is a bit too low here.
The barrage buff: No... useless. its not like I can shoot running backwards for this to matter.

Scattershot: I hate the push-back after you fire the skill. Please, for the love of everything, remove that.
Decrease the cast time of the casted scattershot. Not by much, half it maybe? It just takes too long to cast it. Also sometimes it absolutely misses the target, even if the target is not moving. And no, its not a "Miss", as in dodge. When that happens there is a big white text that is laughing at me saying "Miss". Also a very big issue that I have with it is that after cast it shoots in a straight line. If there is a little bit of elevation, the skill is useless. For example, fighting uphill. If I charge the shot, it goes into the ground.

You might've noticed that I mentioned mana in some skills. Yes... The ranger lacks mana. For the amount of damage it does, it uses too much mana. If there is no bard to regen mana, we need a break every 3 star mob. Or we might not even have enough mana to kill the mob (like if they are a broken defender that blocks all attacks for 10 seconds every 5 second)

I would have liked to be able to use a 2hand for the secondary weapon. Like I would like to use a longbow with a 2 handed sword. But I am forced to use a 2 piece second weapon for some reason (like 1h sword+shield)

The Weapon skills for longbows/shortbows: They okish. Some skills are useless, and some are not, allowing for a meta for the weapon skill tree.

The longbow's attack rate could be a little bit increased.

The last thing to add: Please give us some form of sustain. The rangers cannot do any solo-fighting unless we are fighting lower-level mobs, or non-starred mobs. For example, I can't fight an lv 12 1 star bear without almost dying.
I know we have that buff and the weapon skill that regen us health per weapon combo. But they are too negligible. The buff is 10 health every so ofter. The weapon skill tree removes a very important passive that is kind of a deal breaker in doing damage. And, it does not regen that much. And more often, the regen is based on doing finishers, which we barely do, especially on longbows, and even more on 1v1 in pve because we just run and cast skills when we can.

Overall - the ranger feels good, plays nice. It just needs a bit of attention and love.

Some info: Ranger lv17, pretty good gear, ~380 phys longbow. Lots of experience with archers in RPGs. I mostly play archers. I play action combat. Tab target makes me barf.

The jump back on scatter shot is weird. Didn't quite understand that one. I would rather they make scatter shot without it and then add a leap back shot similar to albions bows.

Yeah... I can't tell you how many times this skill threw me off the roof, made me fall through a hole in the floor, or made me aggro another mob.
