Gathering Quantity to XP doesn't make sense

Gathering larger nodes doesn't yield any more XP than a young/small node. If I gather an adolescent tree it gives me 2 wood for 80 XP(common) and if I gather that same tree as an adult it gives me 5 wood for 80 XP. It would make a lot more sense if each individual wood gave 40(or some reduced amount) XP each such that you got 80 XP for 2, 200 for 5.

    They changed it so now that you get more exp the rarer the drop is, so its based on rarity not quantity

    quantity should also count in my mind. youre spending longer on bigger nodes, the xp should reflect the extra work you spend

    My feeling is they are still at a very rudimentary phase with this. So I expect a lot to change over the weeks and months to come.

    Quantity based as well as rarity based encourages players to focus on finding and gathering mature resources. I think this is a good thing, and allows for other resources time to respawn/mature.
