. This is my first post drop being in Alpha . Bugs are getting worked out so i see progress there and am happy about that. I did think it was funny to notice most NPC's & Animal were enjoying the sun on the tops of every building pretty much. and lets not forget the DDOS attack that killed a weekend.
After Speaking with many players talking in Discord and playing myself. I noticed NO ONE is happy about the questing system, including myself. There is no sense of direction on this. and i know it will get better and i know the Devs notice everyone complaining about questing. If we were to keep the current layout of the quest, I Believe we need something a bit more user friendly. arrows lines more narrow circle to show location. without cheating with youtube. i still have yet to figure out some of these quest. only other way around this i believe is a revamp of the questing system or you need to allow addons to make things manageable.
Next, Leveling is a TOTAL pain . I'm a tank. and i noticed just like everyone else. Unless you're in a party, you're not getting any EXP or credit for killing and its hard cause everyone is killing so KS is almost unavoidable . I prefer playing solo for the most part in PVE now playing in a caravan PVX I'm cool with in a team. but solo i cannot achieve anything. i was beside a party trying to farm monsters like everyone else. Took me almost 5 mins to get a single kill and that's realistic numbers being surrounded but full parties, being surrounded by magic and ranged users.
But Bug wise, the improvements have been way better. i like the fact they added details to chopped down trees. like New world has. now mining and gardening should be next for realism. still not sure about why the NPC have went nuts on top of the building though....... bugs really aren't being an issue that bad. its stability now that's main thing. i have a topped out computer and i lag like crazy.
Don't give up AoC team, but right now after almost a month. i can only provide a 4/10 the 4 is coming from combat. im liking the combat style. just got no where to use it.

I’m firmly against heavy quest-aiding mechanics. Yes, quests could use some improvements, but holding players’ hands by showing exactly where to go takes away from the sense of exploration and discovery. It removes the need to engage with the world and think critically. Everyone has the most powerful tool—your brain—and using it to figure out where a quest is adds depth and immersion.
I’m fine with large quest circles that give a general idea of where to go, but anything more than that would detract from the experience. At that point, it’s not a design flaw; it’s user error.
