Suggestions for the "Asmongold Issue"

I imagine that quite of lot of internal development discussion has already taken place regarding this subject. I know a lot of it is occurring in various places, externally on the web, right now.
Some background first:
For those who don't know,
The streamer "Asmongold" logged into the ashes alpha 2 phase 1 Nov 8 weekend to check out the game and was instantly met with many people killing him on sight and attempting to do so. Multiple warnings were issued to these people to leave him alone and not to grief him as he was a new player trying to learn the game.
The suggestions:
I've thought about this issue a fair amount and it seems that there are a couple of things that can be done to prevent future occurrences of this type of behavior (assuming the dev team still does want to prevent this specific type of interaction).
1) Give new players a grace period of no pvp for the first couple levels (exact level tbd by the dev team)
(with an option for new players to disable this protection and enable pvp early if they so choose)
2) Limit pvp interactions in the new player starting area(s)
(either through more guards, or area-specific buffs which decrease the amount of damage new players take from other players or some such)
Both of these suggestions do not impact the larger game / player-base, as a whole, but would accomplish the goal (if I am interpreting the wishes of the dev team correctly) of preventing brand-new players from being turned off by the early game experience in their first steps into the world.
"Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes." - Ephesians 6:11

That's good to know. I'm glad they already have plans in place for this. Can we get a link to the place where he gave these details?
It was in the streamer interview he did with Thor from Pirate Software.
