"Main" char and "Alt" chars at character screen - solution to power leveling?

They could make it so you have a "main" and "alts" for each realm.
The "main" has no power leveling restrictions, can join any party with no exp reductions due to level diff, etc.
The "alts" have what they implemented now, like the 3 level diff thing.
This system would allow friends to keep playing together, even when they get a bit separated, while preventing large guilds from just powerleveling alts.
Of course, you could always buy more accounts to get around this. But Intrepid has already said that they are cool with that. Would it be pay2win at that point? Yeah, a bit, i guess.
Shrug, just a dumb half-baked idea. Maybe someone has a way to expand on it for it to make sense.

Everything else is abusable in a way that makes lower level players a commodity to be used by higher level players, even their friends, and often even if they try to avoid this. Or, in the case of your suggestion, leads to other, more complex abuses in a game where players need to be allowed to change their 'main' at some point.
Level Sync, for me at least, is the exact opposite of that experience, unless we're counting 'high level players getting to re-experience older parts of the map again' as so important that they consider lowbies to be a 'commodity' even then.
Fair enough, i was just throwing it out there to be demolished/improved.
