Alpha Two Realms are now unlocked for Phase II testing!
For our initial launch, testing will begin on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 10 AM Pacific and continue uninterrupted until Monday, January 6, 2025, at 10 AM Pacific. After January 6th, we’ll transition to a schedule of five-day-per-week access for the remainder of Phase II.

CP Melodies and Mana costs increasing???

These are my thoughts/suggestions as of Bard lvl 16.
CounterPoint
Right now I feel that CounterPoint is a bit hard to manage with only seeing the buff(s) icon under my Profile HP bar. I believe it'd be much easier to see and manage if there was a different UI for melodies, similar to how EQ did it. I'm NOT saying I want auto weaving, not at all. What I would like to see is a sort of small UI box that can be moved around that has name and horizontal bars (timers) for that melody(ies) that are running. Something much more visible than a blinking or solid icon under our HP bars.
Mana Cost
I'm not sure what the reasoning behind this is and I'm not 100% sure if its only when leveling or is it at any moment of increasing magical power, but our Bard abilities (including and the focus of this post) that have fixed % buffs are having their mana cost increased without their % potency being increased. This mana cost increase is understandable for buffs that their potency is based off of your magical power or aracane %, but for flat buffs this doesn't make any sense to me. I'm being penalized for getting better stats. This doesn't feel like a balance, it feels as if there's no meaning of having more mana when lvling up if the cost of all my abilities rise when there's no potency increase. I understand at this time of testing the Ranking system isn't in play, however when Ranking feature comes in, how much more will this increase our Mana cost and will it continue to rise for when Magical power is increased?

Can't comment on CounterPoint. I Prefer Crescendo.
It's not just Counterpoint, Crescendo ALSO needs better visuals because Melodies drop all the time for no reason.* I think maybe hitting ESC clears them sometimes? I'm really not sure.
But when I'm in town or gathering they drop CONSTANTLY. Very few enemies have a "remove buff" effect so it's not that in combat either (sometimes yes, but a small minority).
And you are sitting there thinking you are fine when really you're not because your Melody dropped 2 seconds into the fight and you didn't notice.
That's not even getting into what it will be like late game. There will be NO WAY to see my melody when my group/raid has 50 buffs on it.
* I'd strongly prefer they fix the "melody dropping" bug, personally. UI stuff can come later as quality of life.

- you mount
- your melody auto-channels and you get interrupted (the war priest minotaurs do this every time)
