Guild Introduction:
With roots dating back to Ultima Online, [-W-] Winterblades was founded in 2001 in the run up to Shadowbane. For over two decades, the Winterblades have excelled in PVP MMORPGS, with success in Shadowbane, Darkfall, Guildwars 2, Crowfall, New World, and now Ashes of Creation. We have long awaited a spiritual successor to the Open World Conquest PvP that brought us together in Shadowbane and Darkfall. Most recently, the Winterblades tested Crowfall for nearly 6 years, from pre-alpha through release and remained one of the most dominant and active guilds until the game was shuttered.
Our strength is our membership. From the grizzled veterans of Shadowbane to the allies and former foes that have joined us along the way, to the new wave of Winterblades that have persevered with us through Crowfall and New World. Their dedication and Guild First attitude has allowed us to succeed and grow as a community into Ashes of Creation.

Recruitment:

Put in an application on the Winterblades Discord server
The recruitment period will last 60-90 days of activity.
The three pillars of recruitment:
1. Cultural fit - Are you the right fit for us and are we the right fit for you?
2. PVP - Are you a killer? Do you thrive in the PVP environment, support your teammates in combat, and are will to play the classes we need at large scale.
3. Do you bring value to the guild by helping out with harvesting, crafting, logistics, organization, and more.
How to make it through recruitment: You do not need to excel in all three areas, but you do need to show a commitment to the guild and share our Guild First attitude. Most importantly, you need to be a good cultural fit for the guild. We tend to be more mature than most guilds out there, and expect appropriate conduct at all times.

Policies:
Most importantly, there is no racist, homophobic, sexist, or otherwise bigoted comments in text or voice chat ever. Period.
We are currently looking for players dedicated to experimenting with Tanks, Clerics, Fighters, Mages, and Rangers (we are currently not recruiting additional Bards)
Be respectful of each other and de-escalate conflict.
Always say “Good fights” and remember you represent the guild.
