I made a mistake crafting

Since A2 came out I committed to trying to gear up by crafting for this experience, I spend much of my time finding copper ore and zinc ore and materials to smith. Fast forward today into test and peers I play with with comparative hours are level 18 and getting brass blues from drops that meet their level needs, and I have scrounged together blue copper/zinc tier at level 10 that will be outleveled once I grind up to where they are.
I don't know the amount of change that will happen with spawns, and stats in future tests, but unless I see something that screams a change in PTR notes for next wipe I don't think crafting for purposes of getting higher rare/tier crafting blues, yellows, is rewarding.
It is also interesting because to achieve getting any ore in many places, you need to be level 10 around at least to compete with the mobs. Selling items you craft to vendors is also not a meaningful way to make money at this time. Selling crafted copper gear to fellow players is also not a meaningful way to make money since the tax you spend to process the ore and make the armor/weapons makes it silly to waste time selling to players.
I do not know if crafting is supposed to be unbalanced right now and a placeholder, but it does not seem like a meaningful progression compared to the time I could have spent getting to level 18 and getting brass drops.

crafting also gets limited by the nodes progression and you can only take so many professions past novice so i dont get why its so stingy
