Leveling

I have played around 30 hours of AoC with 3 different classes to try out what I would like. That's all to say that I enjoy the time it takes to progress, but as of right now I do not like the options of progression. The easy option of leveling is to sit at an event and walk away from your computer and rack up tons of experience.

There should be a level requirement and a level cap for certain events, to gain experience AND the loot. Example, the titans ring event. The mobs are level 8, the level requirement to participate should be 6 or 7 and the level cap should be 9 or 10. I've seen a few individuals sit there for hours and get leveled up to 14. I also believe with the level cap, the events should not grant 10k experience. People should do events for the loot drops. Example at the titans ring, there is a chance to get a rare great sword. They should NOT be participating for easy levels, skipping part of the game. At the same time, since they are able to, they will.

It is understandable now, with the state of the game being in alpha phase. Hopefully as the game updates, there is more quest hubs throughout the map, in places such as the 2nd division outpost, etc. Giving an alternative way to properly level in an MMORPG. #1 being questing, #2 being dungeons; with quests meant to introduce and incentivize doing said dungeons, and #3 being artesian progression.

On a good note I have enjoyed my time and money spent to play AoC, which has given me room to both love the game and to also critique, on what I believe, needs changing. xe2uq6qkjpyh.png

Ahhhh, so THAT's why I saw random 70 players in that event nearly all the time :D I never even came there to check out what was going on.

It's such a waste of time though. In the time it takes for the event to go from one reward payout to the next you could have earned so much more.

I would not recommend wasting limited server uptime on this.
